The Split Payments feature allows you to share the cost of your bookings. You can generate a payment link through the ‘My Bookings’ section and send it to your teammates. Everyone can pay their share directly through the link, and you can see who has paid and who hasn’t.
Split Payments is currently available for Leagues, Pitch Bookings, Block Bookings, Bubble Football and Kid’s Parties.
After you’ve registered for a league and your team is set up, go to the ‘My Bookings’ section on our website or app. Open the league fixture, proceed to checkout and select ‘Split Payment’. Here, you can generate a payment link for your league games and share it with your teammates. Each player can pay their share through the link.
Once they receive the link, they simply click on it and then log in to Powerleague (it’s free to create an account). Once in, they will see the details of the booking and be able to make their contribution.
As soon as the booking is made, payment is pre-authorised, the slot is held, and players will have up to 1 hour before kick-off to pay their split. If player(s) don’t complete their split payment within this time, the remaining balance will be taken from the payment card registered to the lead booker.
If one or more of your teammates don’t pay their split within the payment window, the remaining balance will be taken from the payment card registered to the lead booker.
If you’re the lead booker, we’ll send you a notification after each player you’ve split the cost with has made their payment. You can also track payment progress within the ‘My bookings’ page of your Powerleague account. If you wish to opt-out of the notifications you can do this within the ‘My bookings’ page.
If you want to cancel your booking, you, as lead booker, should call the club that your booking was made with and inform them as soon as possible. If the club agree to the cancellation as per our cancellation policy, you’ll then be refunded to the payment card registered to the lead booker. If you’ve made a split payment, refunds will be issued to the payment cards used by each of your teammates who have paid their proportion of the costs.

No. It’s the responsibility of the lead booker to select the players that the payment will be split with. If a player from the split payment group fails to show or is replaced with someone else, it is not the responsibility of Powerleague to refund or amend the payment.
All bookings are pre-authorised at checkout and therefore will only proceed if the lead booker has the funds available to cover the costs. The pre-authorised payment will be held by the bank of the lead booker up to 1 hour before kick-off, and not by Powerleague. After this time, Powerleague will charge the remaining balance to the registered payment card.
